“Atlantide” or “Atlantis”, the message of the lost continent, can enlighten us, warn us of the dangers that may lie ahead. What was the fate of this magic world that apparently lived in material comfort, whose resources were spread over two continents of the planet as we know it? Did these people secure their affluence by the exploitation of other peoples, or did they seek the welfare of all communities, of all mankind? Egoism and power are drugs that man must rid himself of at all costs. “Atlantide” is conceived as an antidote, as a kind of radio alarm signal, which tries as best it can, with sound and loudspeakers, to awaken listeners from their lethargy. “Atlantide” was recorded at the studios of Alain Thibault and in the Radio-Canada’s multitrack studio at Cité du Havre in July, 1985.
